Welcome to the McHenry Area Jaycees

Since 1920, the McHenry Area Jaycees have been helping people to connect to the community, and putting smiles on the faces of kids and families alike.

In the Jaycees, you can have fun, meet new friends and come together with others just like yourself to help neighbors in the community who need it most. There's truly no other organization like the Jaycees.

In the Jaycees you can:
  • Meet interesting people
  • Raise funds for worthy causes
  • Participate in, or lead projects
  • Compete in public speaking competitions
  • Help judge scholarship competitions
  • Participate in State and National projects
  • and so much more
We are a not-for-profit organization
  • Our membership is open to men and women between the ages of 18-40.
  • We also encourage associate members (of any age) to join.
  • It is a place where we all come together and meet each other.

Why young men and women join the Jaycees

  • The desire for self-improvement.
  • To learn how to accept responsibility, to make decisions, become effective speakers, develop management techniques, to be better employees, employers, and a better person.

Our Creed
by C. William Brownfield

We Believe:
That faith in God gives meaning and purpose to human life;
That the brotherhood of man transcends the Sovereignty of Nations;
That economic justice can best be won by free men through free enterprise;
That government should be of laws rather than of men;
That Earth's great treasure lies in human personality;
And that service to humanity is the best work of life!

We are a local chapter of the United States Jaycees and Junior Chamber International.
