Toys for Tots Parade
It's that time of year again for the annual McHenry Area Jaycee's Toys For Tots Parade!
The parade will start at 1 pm sharp and starts at the McCraken Field and goes to Veterans Memorial Park on Pearl St. There will hot beverages available for purchase at the park. Anyone who would like to donate can bring any and all toys to the box truck at the park after the parade. Salvation Army will be there collecting all toys in the truck. For those who want to participate, here are the details: APPLICANTS: In order to participate, we will need an application. Please contact Jessica Hileman MchenryJaycees@gmail.com with the subject line reading Toys For Tots 2021. If there are any questions, please feel free to call Tara (815) 353-5399 . If you get the voicemail, please leave a message and your call will be returned promptly. All applications must be in no later than Friday November 19th. All participants will receive an email regarding lineup the night before the parade. We ask that any and all participants be there no earlier than 11:00 and no later than 1230, sharp. Drop off's can be done at McCraken Field, for everyone's safety. It is important to be there by 1230 as all back traffic needs to be out of the area before our Harley's get there. We are asking all participants to donate two new, unwrapped toys (one for a boy and one for a girl) and bring them for us to collect before the parade starts. We will be walking around collecting them to put on our tree float with Santa. Toys can also be donated after the parade at the box truck that will be waiting at the park. Make sure you decorate your floats and dress up! We will be giving a couple of awards to those who would like to participate. Please email us at mchenryjaycees@gmail.com if your group would like to join us in the parade. |
